Every Baird instrument is made entirely by hand including the pickups. It is important to me as a luthier to involve myself in as many steps of the building process as i can, I feel this way i can have the most control and explorative freedom possible. Every Baird instrument is one of a kind.
I started building my first instrument with my father and met Mas Hino when i was fifteen. I would visit Mas's shop during my highschool lunch break when ever i needed advice. It was through him that i met James Carbonetti and Eric Cocco of La Bella strings. Mas and James would teach me the art of lutherie (still do) and give me the knowledge i continue to build on in my own work.
