David Blake (@itsmedavidrighthereonyourphone on instagram) stopped by the shop and graced this hollow body with the tune Everybody's Song But My Own, written by Kenny Wheeler.
This instrument features a spruce top with a one piece okoume back, and a roasted flame maple neck with a macassar ebony finger board. The pick up is a hand wound "off-set" pick up, meaning it consists of two coils split like a p-bass. The pick up gives this instrument a fuller sound than a single coil, but more focused than a full hum-bucker while still hum canceling.

This guitar is made with a one piece curly redwood body (graciously gifted to me by Roger Sadowsky!), and a port orford cedar neck with a morado finger board, Gibson scale. The pick ups are hand wound "stacked" single coils (so two coils wound on just one set of pole pieces for the hum cancelling effect), which are set in matching curly redwood covers. David is playing on the neck pick up. The port orford cedar neck has a great strength to weight ratio, its very stable while also being very light weight, paired with the body this guitar comes in at just 5.23 lbs.
